More Tattoo Progress!

Well last week I went in once again for more work to be done on my back piece.  This time around I sat through two of the butterflies being completed.  One is for My oldest son, Donavyn.  That one being a cover/up and touch up all in one since it was pretty faded and unrecognizable.
The other being the spider web butterfly on my lower back for my son Dominyk, whose middle name just happens to be Spyder:)

Back Piece

As most of you know I have been having my back piece worked on over the past few months....Here are my updates!

Session 1: Added the 2 butterflies, kids names, stars and astrological symbols on my neck

Session 2: Added the cherry blossoms

Session 3: More color for the cherry blossoms, a few touch ups and swirl wind added.

Threshold of the Dragon's Gate

I found this myth online today while looking through tattoo images of Koi and Lotus'
I love the symbolism and meaning behind this!
So because Andy is wanting a dragon and so did I; I am seriously considering
the Koi and Lotus instead of a dragon.

Beneath the serene quiet of the water lilies
a young carp senses a calling . . . swelling up in her heart
like the swirling waters at the base of a great waterfall,
Somehow summoned to go beyond the barrier
of crashing water and veiled mist
The churning waters of the waterfall’s bottom
matches that of the young carp’s desiresFinally with a burst of enthusiasm the carp has launched herself

Not Expecting This At All!

Well as most everyone knows, I attend college online at Baker College. 

This afternoon, I checked the mail and behold I had a envelope from the college.  At first I was hoping to find my tax information within, but what I found was a bit better!

An invitation to join the National Society of Collegiate Scholars based on my academic performance.  Only those with a 3.4 GPA or higher are invited and those within the top twenty percent of their class.  

I am so excited!!
